Additional Compensation Details:

  • $24.00 - $25.00 hourly dependent on experience
  • Potential 90-day performance-based raise
  • Yearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenure

Job Description

Schedule Day schedule, must be available for work on holidays and Saturdays

The Role

The purpose of this position is to verify products and processes during daily dock receiving and ensure compliance to company standards and specifications. Utilizes forklift to slot and move products as necessary. Backs up other Quality Control Specialists.

Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To

  • Inspects and audits all incoming produce and slotted produce items
  • Verifies packaging, labeling, lot coding of all produce/ food items received.
  • Validates pre-shipment review.
  • Perform daily ATP swabs to verify sanitation
  • Understands and follows material hold release program
  • Effectively uses Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS for inter-department communication.
  • Follows GMP’s at all times
  • Team Member of the Safety Team

Qualifications

Core Knowledge/Skills

  • Communicate effectively upstream and downstream with TMs
  • Commitment to quality
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
  • HACCP Trained

Required Skills and Experience

  • Ability to work in refrigerated environment, 35 – 45 degrees
  • Proven experience in produce quality and shelf life
  • Proven experience using standup and or sit down forklift and pallet jack equipment
  • Ability to work without direct supervision and to prioritize activities under pressure
  • Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to actively engage in continuous improvement activities
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug test
