The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring Rebuild products and repairs are inspected at various stages of the process and ensuring the quality and reliability job standards and guidelines are met. Responsibilities also include supporting the day-to-day Service operations with efficiency and effectively. In addition, has the authority to stop productivity if any deficiencies/inspections are identified.

Essential Functions
- Models and promotes alignment with HOLT’s Vision, Values, and Mission
- Provides input into applicable repairs in the Rebuild processes in order to achieve Rebuilds objectives for quality repair production
- Manages and performs inspections of all Rebuild repairs and report results, and make recommendation on required repairs for improvements
- Authorizes and identifies any deficiencies in the overall workflow process
- Determines and ensures products and services meet specifications and inspections
- Maintains and monitors inspections of Rebuild equipment to record and analyze quality data
- Analyzes, performs and monitors inspections, quality tests, and repair issues
- Document quality assurance activities, create and maintain audit reports
- Performs pre-service and post-service inspections (arriving/leaving HOLT Rebuild) for service and repairs
- Communicates inspection findings to the Rebuild management team
- Communicates operational issues, safety, efficiency improvements, process bottlenecks, and quality concerns to Rebuild management team
- Maintains high level of understanding in repairs and productivity standards
- Partners and collaborates with service and parts staff to resolve repair challenges associated with Rebuild status prior to releasing equipment orders
- Assists with continuous improvement activities including monitoring, evaluating, and reporting ongoing status of rebuild projects operationally and financially
- Monitors adherence to quality standards and develops action plans to address equipment repair problems that cause sub-standard quality results
- Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge in quality control management processes, practices, procedures, and processes
- Computer and related software knowledge and/or experience and the ability to learn/use new computer programs
- Knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and DBS
- Excellent verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills
- Solid interpersonal and customer service skills with internal customers
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills

Requirements
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of six years in heavy equipment repair or operational experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Certificate in quality assurance is preferred

Physical Requirements:
- Significant amount of time standing, walking, stooping, and reaching
- This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
- Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
Work Environment:
- Requires wearing proper protective and safety equipment (PPE)
- This job is generally performed in an office environment and in a shop environment
- Frequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
- Requires dealing with unpleasant, angry, or discourteous people
