Job Description:

 

The Quality Control Officer / Site Safety & Health Officer (QC/SSHO) is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities comply with contract requirements, applicable codes, project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. This position oversees project quality control processes and implements the site safety program to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved plans and procedures. Responsibilities commonly include administration of the Quality Control Plan, Accident Prevention Plan (APP), inspections, documentation, corrective actions, and regulatory compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Quality Control

·         Implement and maintain the project Quality Control Plan.

·         Conduct Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up inspections for all Definable Features of Work (DFOW).

·         Verify that materials, equipment, and workmanship conform to contract requirements and specifications.

·         Maintain quality control documentation, inspection reports, deficiency logs, testing records, and as-built documentation.

·         Identify and track non-conforming work and ensure corrective actions are completed.

·         Coordinate quality inspections and testing activities with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.

·         Prepare daily QC reports and provide status updates to project management.

·         Safety & Health

·         Implement and enforce the project Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Site Safety & Health Plan.

·         Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and audits.

·         Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.

·         Develop and review Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) for project activities.

·         Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries, and implement corrective actions.

·         Ensure compliance with OSHA, EM 385-1-1, site-specific requirements, and company safety policies.

·         Monitor subcontractor safety performance and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

·         Stop work when unsafe conditions or practices are identified and coordinate corrective actions.

 

Notes: Candidate must be able to obtain a Level 50 Access, this will be paid for by SE it takes roughly 6 months for the investigation to be completed, candidate can start prior to with our Standard BG and Drug Screening process.
