Dimeo Construction Company is seeking a Quality Control Manager to support our growing Connecticut region, based in New Haven, CT. This role is an opportunity to bring Dimeo’s Master Builder mindset to life by helping project teams deliver work with precision, consistency, and pride.  

Your Mission 

The Quality Control Manager will lead Dimeo’s Quality Control Program across one or more projects, partnering closely with field operations, project leadership, trade partners, clients, and design teams to identify risks early, uphold Dimeo’s high standards, and support successful project outcomes. In this role, you will help ensure each project reflects our commitment to quality, accountability, and doing things the right way. 

Your Role 

  • In conjunction with the project team, this position guides, expedites, and administers the Dimeo Construction Quality Control Program in accordance with the project schedule and budget. 
  • Develop the project specific Quality Control plan, the Definable Feature of Work (DFOW) log, the Test & Inspections matrix, the Mockups & Benchmarks log, and setup Procore to facilitate the program. 
  • Be a resource during the preconstruction effort through the development of the Guaranteed Maximum Price, as requested. 
  • Maintain strong Client, A/E, Subcontractor, and Trade Worker relationships throughout the project cycle and beyond. 
  • Coordinate and chair all pre-installation meetings, initial / pre-start meetings, and weekly quality meetings. 
  • Identify and assist in resolution of major project quality issues with the Project Manager / Superintendent. 
  • Maintain client objectives, ensure needs are addressed and continued client relations beyond project completion. 
  • Coordinate and lead project meetings to discuss critical issues and foresee potential exposures, strategies and resolve issues related to quality. 
  • Verify existing project conditions and build into schedule, logistics and scopes. 
  • Identify risks and develop strategic plans during the preconstruction and construction phases. 
  • Support the project team through scope review meetings. 
  • Perform inspections during construction and oversee testing, with special emphasis on roofing, windows, doors, siding, waterproofing, and other areas at high risk for water intrusion. 
  • Ensure Quality Control Program reporting requirements are being fulfilled and required meetings are being conducted. 
  • Manage and monitor the tools in Procore to ensure all procedures of the Quality Control program are being followed. 
  • Develop and maintain a detailed and thorough summary of project Lessons Learned, Best Practices, and AHA Moments and present this information in the team Operations Meetings. 

What We Expect 

  • Experience leading or supporting construction quality control programs on commercial building projects, ideally with exposure to healthcare, higher education, life sciences, or complex institutional work. 
  • Strong understanding of building envelope systems, inspections, testing protocols, mockups, and documentation practices, with particular attention to water intrusion risk. 
  • Ability to coordinate and partner effectively with project teams, field operations, trade partners, clients, architects, and engineers to resolve issues and keep work moving forward.  
  • Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management platforms used to track quality activities, documentation, inspections, and follow-up items. 
  • Clear communication, meeting facilitation, and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to lead quality discussions and hold teams accountable. 
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to identify risks early, develop practical solutions, and maintain Dimeo’s high standards from preconstruction through closeout.
