This Position reports to:

In this role, you will support the local unit in controlling products and systems to ensure compliance with all requirements in a cost-effective and safe environment and contributes to applying standards and test methods to ensure only compliant products, software, and services are released to customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads testing, verification, validation, and quality control activities for the Local Business Line.
- Provides feedback to Engineering to improve solution and process design.
- Supports and delivers quality training, promoting a strong quality culture and results orientation.
- Ensures accurate, compliant reporting of quality data per ABB, customer, and regulatory standards.
- Escalates product quality and safety issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Supports development of test protocols and performs inspections with engineering and cross-functional teams.
- Develops a network of partners to support product and solution inspections.
- Ensures safe work practices and proper use of safety systems in alignment with HSE requirements.
- Analyzes quality issues from a customer perspective and drives root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Fosters collaboration across teams and business units, while building strong stakeholder relationships to drive organizational success.
- Leads, coaches, and develops high-performing teams by ensuring effective staffing, capability development, and continuous improvement of organizational effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant technical diploma/technology degree (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or equivalent experience).
- 5–10 years of experience in quality control, testing, or engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Solid experience with inspection, testing, and validation methods for products and systems.
- Familiarity with quality standards (e.g., ISO, IEC) and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, suppliers).
- Knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Good understanding of HSE requirements in testing or production environments.
