A Quality Control Engineer performs and monitors quality assurance/control activities to meet requirements of the customer, regulatory agencies and the Company.
Requirements
- Develop and implement quality systems, manuals and procedures to comply with ISO 9001, PED, ATEX, customer and other regulatory requirements.
- Perform internal audits and reports to management on the effectiveness of the QMS and suggestions for improvement.
- Represent Company in regulatory and customer audits, facility surveys.
- Facilitate and coordinate resolution of technical problems with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers and sales personnel.
- Maintain corrective action program and facilitate the resolution of nonconformities.
- Supervise, assist, and advise all inspectors and QEs as needed. Evaluate and document QA personnel performance.
- Maintain calibration and control system for all precision measuring and test equipment.
- Ensure compliance to regulatory agencies, documented procedures, engineering specifications, and customer requirements.
- Provide training programs and instruction to employees.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- B.E Mechanical having minimum 3 years’ experience.
- Minimum of one (3) year experience in blueprint reading and inspection.
- NDT level2 in Radiography, Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetration.
- ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor/Lead Auditor.
- Certification of welding inspector.
TECHNICAL / FUNCTION SPECIFIC:
- Computer literate
- Technical knowledge of machining, welding and assembly
- Complete understanding of dimensional concepts
- Problem solving and formulations
- Reading and proofreading
- Reasoning and analyzing
- Good communication skills
- Experience working in Lean manufacturing environments
BEHAVORIAL:
- Willingness and ability to follow all manufacturing procedures and company policies
- Concern for quality, accuracy and safety
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others, including peers, supervisors, management and outside vendors, representatives and visitors when called upon
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes
- Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
