Summary of Internship
Internship positions provide an opportunity for engineering and science students to get hands on experience in a manufacturing and quality environment. At our St Louis, Missouri site we are looking for an intern to support trending and analysis of a wide variety of analytical method data.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with Quality Control personnel to develop an automated or semi-automated system for data entry/trending
- Develop a work instruction to outline requirements for trending analysis for several different analytical method types
- Provide significant input to a Standard Operating Procedure capturing a site-wide process for trending analysis.
- Become familiar with site policies and FDA and EU regulations regarding analysis of the site’s manufactured products
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams to perform data entry, statistically analyze data, and assess trends
- Develop templates and systems for ongoing trending
- Specific tasks will be tailored to the intern’s experience level and abilities
Qualifications:
- Student currently enrolled in classes leading to an accredited bachelor’s degree in a chemistry, biology, computer science, data analysis, or engineering degree
- Strong desire and motivation to develop a career in quality control laboratories
- Strong leadership and team building skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-functional team
- Ability to learn, be mentored, and improve
- To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status
