Position Overview

ATLAS SP is seeking a meticulous and analytical professional to join our Structured Lending Operations team as a Quality Control Associate – Loan Servicing. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of loan servicing activities within the CLS loan system by FIS. The role requires close collaboration with loan servicing team, proactive identification of errors, development of training to address recurring issues, and partnership with internal controls and risk teams to strengthen operational resilience.
The successful candidate will monitor transactions across the loan lifecycle, identify and report defects, and drive remediation and process improvements that reduce risk and enhance efficiency across the lending operations platform. In addition, the associate will leverage advanced data and analytical skills to build reporting and predictive models, automate systemic reviews, and provide insights into portfolio-wide exception trends.

Primary ResponsibilitiesQuality Control & Defect Management
  • Review and validate transactions entered by loan servicing team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to procedures.
  • Identify, track, and report on operational defects and errors, escalating where necessary.
  • Partner with the servicing team to resolve errors and implement corrective actions.
Training & Development Support
  • Analyze recurring defects to identify training needs and process gaps.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for the servicing team to strengthen knowledge and prevent recurrence.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to loan servicing team based on error trends and review results.
Controls & Risk Oversight
  • Partner with the internal controls team to align quality control reviews with enterprise risk frameworks.
  • Ensure that external risk considerations are incorporated into the QC process.
  • Maintain reporting on key control metrics and defect trends to management.
Process Analysis, Analytics & Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct root-cause analysis of recurring errors to drive systemic improvements.
  • Recommend enhancements to workflows, system functionality, and documentation to reduce operational risk.
  • Support automation and process streamlining initiatives within the loan servicing function.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance reporting tools and dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Excel) to monitor QC metrics, systemic defects, and portfolio-wide exception trends.
  • Develop predictive analytics models to anticipate exception patterns and proactively recommend preventative controls.
  • Source and analyze data directly from the CLS loan system to identify opportunities for systemic improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Partner with peers (Technology, Business & Operations) to continuously strengthen controls via process improvement and AI tools deployment
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in financial servicing, loan operations, or quality control.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, macros, data models).
  • Experience in building reports and dashboards using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and present findings to management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience in the financial services industry, preferably within loan servicing, loan operations, or structured finance.
  • Familiarity with ACBS (CLS) or other loan servicing platforms (LIQ, AFS).
  • Experience in operational risk, controls, or audit functions.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages or automation tools (e.g., SQL, Python, VBA) to support data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of predictive modeling or advanced analytics techniques for exception trend analysis and systemic monitoring.

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed here.
