Position Summary:

The Quality Control Analyst – Originations is responsible for auditing loan contracts to ensure adherence with internal, state, and Federal policies and regulatory guidelines. Detect errors and omissions in the funding process and potential fraud.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review and ensure the accuracy of completed loan contract documents, including data entry accuracy regarding names, address, SSN, DOB, and contract structure
  • Analyze loan applications and collaborate with credit and funding teams to ensure compliance with company policies governing extension of credit, government lending policies, procedures, an all applicable federal/regulatory guidelines (ECOA, Fair Lending, CRA, FCRA, etc.)
  • Communicate with the loan processing team to resolve any discrepancies prior to booking loans
  • Utilize product/procedures knowledge to resolve issues while following pre-established quality policies and procedures
  • Ensure quality information is entered accurately and timely for tracking and reporting
  • Offer suggestions for process improvements
  • Identify red flags when reviewing credit reports, credit applications, paystubs, or other documentation with required stipulations
  • Maintain familiarity with Auto financing policy and procedures
  • Perform other projects and clerical tasks assigned by the Quality Control Manager – Originations, Associate Director of Originations Quality Control, and Managing Director of Credit Operations
  • Maintain confidentiality due to regular access to specified personal information of consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers and dates of birth
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned

Experience:

  • Minimum 1-year relevant auto dealership or auto finance experience

Education:

  • High school diploma and or/GED

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of federal regulatory guidelines (ECOA, Fair Lending, CRA, FCRA, etc.)
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interface work autonomously and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in using loan processing software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to derive conclusions and make recommendations beyond the scope of written policies or standard guidelines
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with close attention to detail
  • Ability to work under minimal supervisor and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Additional:

  • Overtime required required on an as needed basis
  • Travel 0 -10% as required on an as needed basis

Work Schedule: This position is a hybrid role, requiring in-office presence, per business needs. This position requires the ability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs. Typically, between the hours of 8AM-7PM Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. Travel is required 10% of the time.
