Title: Quality Conformance Coordinator
Required Shift:
8 Hour Day Shift
Monday - Friday
(This role may also have rotational coverage.)
Job Purpose:
As Food Quality Coordinator at Mars, you will collaborate with the operators in the value stream on root cause analysis and escalates to support departments or areas as required, use existing procedures to solve standard problems, analyze information and standard practices to make judgements and recommendations.
What are we looking for?
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years of demonstrated success in manufacturing/ quality experience
- Knowledge of food safety regulations including local, state and federal guidelines.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and sanitation knowledge in food processing.
- Advanced computer skills
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting/carrying pushing (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
- Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
- Ability to understand, communicate, read, and write basic work-related English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical degree or certifications related to Food Science, Food Safety, Engineering, Chemistry
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing site managing quality and food safety management systems responsible position related to food safety or quality and food safety management system
- Advanced understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Systems (HACCP)
- Knowledge of food microbiology, food safety, manufacturing processes and food laws
- Strong understanding of all GMP’s, PPE’s and quality checks
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Key interface between R&D related activities and the value stream, including communication of value stream initiatives to site R&D community
- Accountability for managing an effective corrective/preventive plan, including verification of effective implementation
- Quality lead in value stream routine management meetings and quality reviews
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver best in class GMP and Sanitation practices.
- Continual process confirmation of the GMP and Sanitation programs
- Support Kleanz use and management.
- Support Continuous Improvement of the Quality, GMP and Sanitation programs.
- Coverage for shift rotational QCCs and Sample Processors.
- Support cross-functional team with internal, technical, LRQA, Pest and other audits.
- Support site 5S program
- Member of the AM and FMOS Pillars.
