The QC/CI Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the plant’s Continuous Improvement and Quality Assurance programs to ensure achievement of operational excellence, cost savings, and product quality goals. This individual will lead Lean initiatives, manage quality systems, and drive a culture of continuous improvement across all departments.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Continuous Improvement

  • Develop, implement, and sustain a company-wide Continuous Improvement (CI) program grounded in Lean principles and Six Sigma methodology.
  • Lead and facilitate Kaizen events, 5S initiatives, and Value Stream Mapping sessions to identify and eliminate waste.
  • Develop and maintain CI programs, including TPM, DMAIC problem-solving, and cost reduction documentation.
  • Train, mentor, and develop CI/Lean leaders and teams across the plant.
  • Partner with managers and supervisors to drive measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Establish KPIs, track progress, and communicate CI results across all levels of the organization.

Quality Assurance

  • Oversee all aspects of the plant’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain and improve inspection processes, testing protocols, and quality documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO and customer quality standards; lead internal audits.
  • Promote and maintain a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Training & Leadership

  • Implement and conduct training programs on Lean, Six Sigma, and quality tools.
  • Foster employee engagement and a problem-solving mindset across teams.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to promote collaboration and transparency.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent walking, standing, and sitting.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and carry/push/pull up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to climb stairs and occasionally stoop, crouch, or kneel.
  • Visual acuity for inspecting work product.
  • Occasional travel between plant locations.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of high-volume manufacturing experience with at least 3 years in Continuous Improvement and/or Quality roles.
  • Proven experience implementing Lean, Kaizen, TPM, and Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Strong project management, facilitation, and coaching skills.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.
  • Lean Certification or ASQ Certifications (CQE, CQM, CQA, CQT, or CRE).
  • ISO-9000 Lead Auditor Certificate.
  • Experience with TPM or maintenance systems.
  • Fluent written and spoken Spanish a plus.

Salary Range for position: $125k - $140k.
