The Quality Assurance SE role is responsible for testing internally developed applications prior to deployment, ensuring all releases meet established standards for functionality, usability, and documentation accuracy. Testing scope encompasses application software, user documentation, and support materials, with a focus on story satisfaction, functional defects, and user-experience quality.This role requires proactive communication with design and development teams regarding functional requirements, product designs, project schedules, and potential risks throughout the development lifecycle. The Quality Assurance SE role may also assist in producing release notes for each deployment, drawing from internal bug tracking tools. Additionally, this individual collaborates with technical support team members to share knowledge and build team capability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute end-to-end testing of internal and external applications and their integrations prior to deployment, covering story satisfaction, functional, and user-experience defects
- Design, develop, and document test plans, automation scripts, and quality assurance processes, working independently within established standards
- Communicate proactively with development and design teams regarding functional requirements, product designs, schedules, and potential issues throughout the development lifecycle
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation throughout the testing lifecycle, including test plans, test cases, defect reports, and release notes, with a strong emphasis on JIRA for tracking, logging, and communicating QA activities
- Collaborate with QA and technical support team members to share knowledge and support team goals
- Participate in the ongoing improvement of QA processes in both waterfall and agile development environments

- Working knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) sufficient to identify front-end defects, inspect browser behavior, and communicate effectively with developers
- Advanced knowledge of desktop and mobile application environments
- Proficiency with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
- Proficiency with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Katalon Studio)
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI)
- Familiarity with performance and load testing tools is a plus
- Knowledge of accessibility testing standards (WCAG) is a plus

Education and/or Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in quality assurance testing of enterprise applications, including integrated systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- ISTQB certification or equivalent QA certification is a plus
Computer/Equipment Skills:
- Full Sail operates in a cross-platform environment supporting Linux, macOS, and Windows.

Work is performed in an office environment.
