The Quality Assurance Supervisor reports to the Quality Manager and has primary responsibility for overall Quality at the facility including in-process and post-process quality control (QC) and data reporting, evaluation of new raw materials and data reporting, manage quality of incoming materials and drive continuous improvement.
Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for supervising quality lab technicians, ensuring accurate timecard tracking, overseeing their performance goals, and conducting employee reviews to support professional development and maintain quality standards.

In-process and post-process QC and data reporting
-
Leverage SPC tools to drive continuous improvement and reduction of reject rate.

Evaluation of new raw materials & data reporting and drive SCAR activities

Manage expired Material Review Process (MRB)

Manage quality of incoming raw materials

Devising/revising methods of QC analysis – in conjunction with R&D and developing/implementing rework formulas – in conjunction with R&D

Compilation & communication of QC results (analysis) to customers & retain sample preparation.

Participate in general lab services & housekeeping and responsible for lab in the absence of Technical Manager

Supports timely completion of internal product quality related concerns (MRR)

Assist in the development and management of ISO procedures and work instructions. Assist in the identification and implementation of manufacturing “best practices.”

Support new product introduction / scale-up and raw material acquisition and Batch sheet computations.

Manage and improve internal ISO 9001 / IATF audit program.

Lead management review and management of change process

Proper storage of products and raw materials and container labeling regulations

Assist in process design and development
-
Export certification processes (auditing bodies)

Champion of root cause identification for all non-conforming material issues both internally and at customer site
Minimum Requirements
-
BS/BA Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
-
3 years manufacturing or chemistry experience working with chemicals.

3 years quality control experience
-
Supervisory experience
-
Proficient with MS-Office suite
-
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with varying levels of contacts.

Ability to solve problems independently.
-
Strong organizational skills and ability to plan and meet deadlines.
-
Ability to carry and lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Requirements
-
3 + years’ experience within the chemical adhesive industry
-
3+ years’ experience with regulatory matters: OSHA, NIOSH, RCRA, TOSCA, DOT

Experience with ISO 9001/IATF 16949/ ISO 14001 recertification

Certified internal ISO 9001 auditor

Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma and Green Belt

Knowledge of SAP and/or similar database management systems

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
The salary for this role is $68,000 - $85,000.
