Lead daily departmental meetings at the Operating Unit (OU) board, communicating performance against SQDCME (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale, and Environment) goals in collaboration with area team leaders and the Quality department. Develop and support team leaders through ongoing training, mentoring, and daily coaching to enhance leadership and technical capabilities. Manage manpower planning and allocation within the Quality department to meet daily and weekly operational requirements. Align team leader activities with the organization's annual Tactical Implementation Plan to drive strategic goals. Assign tasks and implement improvement initiatives to meet monthly and annual performance targets. Champion continuous improvement initiatives through active engagement with the TOS (Toyota Operating System) Quality Subsystem. Ensure strict adherence to environmental compliance standards and promote a culture of environmental responsibility. Reinforce and model safety guidelines and expectations, fostering a safe and proactive work environment.

Position offers a starting salary range of $95,000 - $121,000 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA
- Drive the reduction of key Quality KPIs, including Defects per Unit, Warranty Claims and Dealer Product Reports (DPRs), through proactive Quality initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance to production areas by interpreting engineering documentation, schematics, and specifications accurately.
- Facilitate cross-functional teams to investigate customer issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Make data-driven decisions by analyzing quality metrics and applying engineering principles to resolve complex challenges.
- Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to address systemic issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and support team leaders through ongoing training, mentoring, and daily coaching to enhance leadership and technical capabilities.
- Regularly maintain and update the internal policies and procedures aligned with ISO 9001:2015.
- Prepare reports, metrics, and presentations for management and stakeholders to provide insights into quality performance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and establish development plans to address skill gaps and career aspirations.
- Make staffing decisions, including hiring, firing, rewarding, training, and developing employees within quality department.
- Ensure strict adherence to environmental compliance standards and promote a culture of environmental responsibility.
- Reinforce and model safety guidelines and expectations, fostering a safe and proactive work environment
Knowledge You Should Bring
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Related Field
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in Quality Management within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, supplier quality assurance, and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001:2015).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to use internal systems for data analysis.
- Familiarity with measurement and inspection techniques.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and methodologies for quality improvement (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Principles, A3, PRT).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with suppliers, leadership team, and cross-functional teams across the organization.
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronic, Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Experience in the automotive or heavy truck industry.
- Familiarity with CMM equipment operation and analysis.
