About the Role
As a Quality Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving quality systems, ensuring compliance with standards, and driving continuous improvement across processes, suppliers, and internal teams. This role is ideal for an independent, detail-oriented professional who takes ownership of critical systems, thrives in dynamic environments, and can influence stakeholders while working collaboratively.
You will support audits, manage nonconformances, analyze quality data, and help strengthen certification programs relating to ISO standards, FSC standards, and EU Regulations, while contributing to a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
Create, review, and maintain quality policies, standards, and specifications
Develop, implement, and improve Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Plan, support, and/or lead internal and external audits and surveillance activities
Facilitate and maintain certification programs (e.g., ISO9001, FSC/SFI, EUDR)
Collect, analyze, and report quality metrics to identify trends and drive improvements
Lead Root Cause Analysis and structured problem-solving initiatives
Manage and resolve Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPAs)
Track corrective action effectiveness and ensure sustainable improvements
Support Supplier Quality Engineers with Supplier Corrective Actions
Address quality issues, customer quality requests, and internal quality concerns
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers
Mentor junior Quality Specialists and Quality Technicians
What You’ll Need
1+ years of experience in a Quality Technician, Inspector, Quality Specialist, or similar role
Fluent in English (Written & Spoken)
Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Knowledge of ISO standards, Lean principles, SPC, auditing, and structured problem-solving
Experience working with Business Intelligence platforms or quality data tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills across multiple mediums
Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple tasks
Proven ability to identify and resolve complex issues with minimal supervision
Nice to Have
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher)
Ability to speak other European languages
Internal Auditor Certification
Associate’s degree or higher (or equivalent relevant work experience)
Experience mentoring junior quality team members
Strong stakeholder influence and cross-functional collaboration skills
High adaptability in fast-changing environments
