Job Summary

With guidance and supervision from the QA Manager and Analyst this position supports the Quality Assurance organization and is responsible for the daily execution of all medical cannabis quality processes as assigned for both operations. The incumbent will work within company standards and the applicable state regulations.

Duties and responsibilities or (Essential Functions)

  • Under supervision, monitors processes for each stage of product manufacturing operations to ensure adherence to company and state regulations, escalating any potential quality issue to management immediately
  • Floor presence throughout the day in all manufacturing areas.
  • Ensures auditing and manufacturing documentation is kept up to date onsite
  • Ensure all required third party compliance testing is completed for each batch of product produced to ensure all batches meet or exceed state mandated requirements.
  • Ensure all results from third party compliance testing is logged, verified, and distributed in a timely manner in order to release batches to the packaging department in an efficient manner.
  • Assists in product tracking, product security, and product movement procedures.
  • Assists in writing, implementing, and training on SOPs for new procedures, quality related procedures, critical equipment, and processes and/or controls.
  • Assists in the management of the SOP, investigation, deviation and CAPA systems.
  • Supports QA Manager with annual reviews of SOPs
  • Assists in review of batch records and batch reconciliation.
  • Reviews raw materials, labels and packaging materials to ensure compliance with state regulations
  • Performs in-process and finished products checks.
  • Assists in managing and documenting complaints for finished products.
  • Assists in investigations into quality issues stemming in collaboration with key manufacturing stakeholders
  • Assists manufacturing in the equipment cleaning and/or line clearance procedures prior to production start-up and completion. Maintains cleaning validation instrumentation and its calibration and supplies. Performs or assists in other tasks as assigned

The hourly wage for this position is $24.00 an hour. 

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: 
    • High School required, plus 5 years related work experience or Associate’s degree, plus three years related work experience
    • Experience having worked in a cannabis and/or manufacturing environment strongly preferred
    • Experience with cGMP requirements, preferred
  • Age: State law requires that applicants be 21 years old to work for a cultivation center
  • Certifications: None

This job may be required to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
