Job Description:

This role reports directly to the Head of Engineering and will work closely with our team of two developers. Communication will be primarily on Slack, Google Meet, Email and via Google Docs. We typically deploy site updates weekly, with major releases every 2 weeks.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the engineering team to test site updates (both customer facing web experience and internal backend tools) before they are deployed to production.
    • Develop test plans in advance of major releases.
    • Manually verify development changes meet requirements, are user-friendly, and bug-free.
    • Find, isolate, clearly document, and track bugs through resolution
  • Help investigate and document reported bugs on production.
  • Provide internal support to employees experiencing trouble using company tools.
  • Help Product Manager refine and clarify design specifications prior to development.

Why This Role

You'll have a direct, visible impact on a category-defining brand at the inflection point of its next phase, working with a small, collaborative team that takes craft seriously — in code as much as in clothing.

Requirements
  • 5+ years experience in a technical QA role.
  • Proven track record finding, isolating, and clearly documenting defects others miss.
  • Hands-on with bug-tracking and test-case management tools (e.g., Jira/Linear, TestRail or equivalent).
  • Comfortable testing complex ecommerce flows end to end, including checkout and payment.
  • Knowledge of the differences between frontend and backend technologies/languages.
  • Browser DevTools fluency (Chrome Developer Tools) and big plus - the ability to write basic SQL to verify data and reproduce issues.
  • Clear written communication - your bug reports are read by engineers and product alike.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure.

Nice to Have

  • Experience introducing or building test automation (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium).
  • Familiarity with the ecommerce or luxury/apparel space.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in an engineering or technical field (not required).

Benefits
  • Full healthcare benefits (medical, dental, vision, life)
  • Access to OneMedical Membership
  • Generous clothing allowance and discount
  • Competitive 401(k) with match
