Rotational shifts! 7AM to 7PM and 7PM to 7AM with weekends baked into the rotation!

POSITION SUMMARY:

Come be a part of a fantastic transformation! Help support the amazing product coming out of our West Salem plant! This position will Perform physical testing on product that is required to maintain certifications and record results per ASTM 7793 and ASTM 4726.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 - Assisting with Implementation and maintenance of program
  • Organizational Skills - Filing System -- Inspections logs and sample retention including AAMA, VSI requirements
  • Perform physical testing required to maintain certifications and record results per ASTM 7793 and ASTM 4726
  • Knowledge of NCM Process for internal and external customers returns
  • Maintain calibration system for all existing devices, gages, instruments for your respective shift.
  • Perform Random Product Audits as required, including Safety, QC Inspection, SOP audits and 5S
  • Communicate non-conformances during production audit's
  • Train Operators and Technicians on test methods and AMI standards
  • Function as Production Supervisor on occasion as required (after 1 year of service)

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of the product or services in manufacturing - extrusion preferred.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with co-workers across all levels.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Standards (Specification) and Processes (Standard Work, Visual Aids)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to use calipers, micrometers, optical comparator, and lab equipment
  • Computer Skills using Microsoft office
  • Perform physical testing required to maintain certifications
  • Maintain calibration systems for all existing devices
  • Perform random audits including safety, QC inspection, and SOPs
  • Organization of filing system, inspection logs, and retention
  • Experience in the manufacturing process
  • Experience in quality and testing
  • Preferred CAD
  • Preferred Mechanical Aptitude
  • Experience in extrusion a plus
