ARES is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist II to provide support in the Asset Management Tracking Team for the Business Office in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency’s enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries,  to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA’s message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA’s communication to the outside world. JOB DESCRIPTION / FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • ARES is seeking support in the Asset Management Tracking Team for a Quality Assurance Specialist II who will provide assistance in Information Technology Purchasing Compliance tasks, renewals tracking, procurement support and metrics development in support of the eMITS NASA-wide contract.
  • Work closely with technical personnel and submit CITRs (Commercial IT Requests), create and manage purchase requests (PRs), and create and manage contracts (service agreements) in compliance with company and contract guidelines and requirements.
  • Track, monitor, and report CITRs, PRs, and contracts in various tools and assist Procurement with purchasing and purchase order documentation.
  • Maintain accurate asset renewals data in Service Now and notify technical personnel of upcoming renewals.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication within the Business Office and technical personnel at NASA centers, and with customers and vendors.
  • Perform other assigned duties within the Business Office related to IT Purchasing Compliance.
  • Prepare monthly asset renewal metrics and IT compliance contract deliverables.
  • Stay abreast of the regulation changes related to Government IT Compliance procurements.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication within the department, with Vendors and with the Business Office.
  • Maintain effective communication and cross-train within the department to serve as backup to others when assigned.

 Minimum Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Lync, Teams, OneNote, One Drive), SharePoint, and Box.

Education:

  • BS in General Business or Supply Chain Management with minimum 5 years’ experience.  Strong MS Office experience, with high attention to details, excellent communicator, solid organizational skills and accuracy.  Service Now experience a plus
