Summary of the role
As a QA Engineer, you will design, implement, and execute comprehensive test strategies that validate the functionality, performance, and accuracy of software products built on com-plex optimization models. You’ll partner closely with developers, data scientists, and product managers to ensure our solutions meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
What you’ll do
Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for product fea-tures and optimization models.
Validate correctness and performance of mathematical optimization results.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across services and UIs.
Translate product requirements into risk-based test strategies and traceability.
Identify, document, and track defects using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira); drive de-fects to closure.
Automate tests where appropriate to improve efficiency, coverage, and reliability (e.g., API/UI frameworks, data-driven tests, pipelines).
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices (reviews, standards, metrics).
Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices throughout the SDLC.
About the ideal candidate
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or re-lated field.
· 3+ years of experience in software QA, preferably in technical or scientific domains.
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and SDLC.
Experience testing applications involving mathematical models, optimization algo-rithms, or data analytics.
Familiarity with programming/scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript or similar).
Hands-on with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Experience with optimization libraries (e.g., Gurobi, CPLEX, or similar).
Understanding of linear programming, mixed-integer programming, or other optimi-zation techniques.
Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform).
