JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
Job Summary -- Essential Functions/Duties
This job is located at Hill Air Force Base in Clearfield, Utah.
Assesses, develops, implements, executes, and recommends improvements for Quality Assurance, Process Improvement, and Performance Measurement.
Employee will be responsible to perform the following functions/duties:
- Conducts quality audits of all business functions / work locations
- Performs technical inspections including but not limited to:
- Drawing verifications (strong knowledge of drawings desired)
- Equipment functional verifications
- Voltage measurements
- Attends acceptance tests and documents test results
- Understands quality standards and ensures they are followed
- Assesses and recommends improvements for all business and technical processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency
- Assists in analyzing and making disposition of corrective and preventive actions
- Maintains records of and tracks findings / observations to resolution
- Assists in the development and release of process and product documentation
- Performs internal audits to verify compliance and contract requirements
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements -- Education, Technical, and Work Experience
Bachelor degree preferred or equivalent education or a minimum of four (4) to six (6) years related technical or business experience. Minimum of one (1) to four (4) years direct work experience in Quality Assurance with progressive responsibilities.
Preferred certification by the American Society for Quality in at least one of the following: Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Technician, Certified Quality Manager, Certified Quality Engineer, or Certified Software Quality Engineer.
In addition, a QA/PI Specialist must possess the following qualifications:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications required (specifically MS Word and MS Excel)
- Ability to learn and use other software applications is required.

Working Conditions
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting (up to 30 pounds), constant sitting, significant use of computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning and organizing skills, and be able to work under deadlines.
Work may also be performed in different locations, some being very remote. Work could be in or outdoors in varying climates. It could be in warehouse, flight line, machining / manufacturing environments and can involve other variables. Ability to travel using various means of government or contractor transportation is required.

JT4 employees will only operate equipment that they have been fully trained on and/or certified to operate. If working in a training capacity, employees must be supervised at all times by a competent trained or certified company employee. Under no circumstances should employees use another employee's equipment without permission from their immediate supervisor or manager. Conversely, employees should not allow other JT4 employees or employees of another employer to use JT4 owned or assigned equipment without proof of training and approval of the shop manager.

Ranges supported by JT4 include the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR), the Space Test and Training Range (STTR) at Schriever Air Force Base, the Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR), the Air Force Test Center 412th Test Wing (412TW) at Edwards Air Force Base, and the Navy China Lake Ranges (CLR) including Pt. Mugu, California.
