Quality Assurance Planning Engineer

Role Summary:
As a QA Planning Engineer, you will support in the development, implementation and running of quality control programs and procedures. This position involves the translation of customer specifications and industry standards into product / process criteria and creating control plans to achieve those requirements. You’ll also address the day-to-day issues with production quality within the manufacturing plant, at customer sites and supplier facilities.
Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with production in order to plan and execute inbound and production checks
• Manage relations with customers or third party inspectors
• Participate in external supplier quality testing and audits
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) events
• Monitor product portfolio KPIs and drive effective root cause corrective actions where appropriate to address gaps to agreed targets
• Manage customer witness inspections
• Maintain and analyze data to provide information or identify problems for management and stakeholders on the state of a process or product quality
• Create awareness in the Leadership community regarding what opportunities have been discovered or developed and how to realize them
• Collaborate with the department or other company departments to clarify / resolve issues techniques related to QC activities.
• Offer all documents as per QAP to customer after coordinating with internal departments and closing all documentation queries
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• English is required
• Experience in engineering and utilization of Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies
• Experience in quailty control department
• Understanding of product / process flow
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 3-5 years relevant experience
• Knowledge and experience in standards such as ASME, PED, API
• Planning and Risk analysis skills
• Familiar with Engineering CTQs and inspection requirements
• Collaborative with Supply Chain and Engineering to evaluate technical risk assessments and apply necessary mitigating requirements to project quality plan (supplier and internal)
• Review, understand and interpret Customer Quality/Technical Specifications and embed in PQP/ITP/QAP
• Certified Quality Engineer (ASQ) or equivalent recognized standard (Mandatory for Specialist level, minimum requirement is attained within 6 months of appointment)
