This role is about:
Develop and execute a Monitoring and Testing (M&T) program to ensure the Group operates in accordance with all relevant compliance obligations and internal policies and procedures. The program should also consider outcomes from internal monitoring reviews, internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, risk assessments, and requests from Senior Management. The M&T program should be adaptable and updated based on new insights and identified risks.

Reporting to: Group Head of Regulatory Compliance
What you will do:
- Incorporate relevant compliance obligations—identified by subject matter experts—into the compliance inventory to be monitored and tested.
- Identify key controls required to ensure adherence to the company’s policies and procedures by mapping compliance obligations across business line processes.
- Define appropriate standards, methodologies, and frequency for each testing area or transaction type.
- Perform compliance testing activities in accordance with the M&T program.
- Document and assess testing outcomes, prepare detailed work papers, and report findings to Senior Management and Directors as needed.
- Share testing results with relevant stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Develop action plans to address any identified issues and monitor them to completion.
- Maintain a comprehensive M&T log and tracking report.
- Conduct issue assurance reviews to determine whether issues may be closed.
- Prepare an annual M&T plan at the beginning of each year, with appropriate coverage of high-risk areas or areas flagged in audits/inspections.
- Analyze the complexity, timing, and delivery of reports to management, directors, and departments involved.
- Follow up on findings from internal/external audits, card scheme reviews, and regulatory inspections.
What we’re looking for:
- Education: Law, business or related degree.
- Experience: At least 8 years of experience in Financial Sector Compliance/AML and Internal Audit
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., AML, data protection), compliance monitoring & testing (M&T), internal audit practices, risk assessment, and control design. Familiarity with the three lines of defense model, regulatory inspections, and cross-functional collaboration within financial services or FinTech environments.

- Reporting & Documentation: Prepares clear and audit-style work papers and tracking reports.
- Issue Resolution: Develops action plans and follows through to full remediation.
- Sector Expertise: Experience in financial services, ideally with exposure to FinTech environments.
- Analytical mindset: Ability to assess and interpret compliance obligations and test outcomes.
- Self-motivated: Proactive and capable of working independently.
