The mySugr GmbH was acquired by Roche in 2017 and our Vienna office is one of Roche's global sites. You will be located here, in the heart of Vienna, no matter if you work on a mySugr®, Accu-Chek®, navify® or any other Roche product or solution. As our new Quality Assurance Mobile Engineer, you are experienced in applying diverse verification practices to ensure high standards of product quality in an agile environment. Quality assurance at mySugr is not limited to testing finished products, but already starting testing from a very early point of development onwards exploring the app. Moreover, it is about ensuring that processes are being optimised from the idea to the release. You will work in a cross-functional, agile team, liaising closely with Developers, Designers and Product Owners. In addition, your good technical understanding will allow you to improve the quality of the product in many different ways - from insightful manual exploration to developing and maintaining our UI test automation suite.
Your upcoming mission:
Passionate about bug hunting - you enjoy exploring all parts of our products and features to find possible issues before our users
Set up a wide range of testing scenarios covering plenty of variations
Compose clear test cases for both manual and automated testing
Create and execute test plans for our products and features
Develop, maintain and execute automated UI tests
Mentor and collaborate with other QA engineers to foster a culture of quality and share best practices in testing
Ensure that all test procedures are well documented
Take responsibility for the quality of our products in interdisciplinary teams with developers, product owners, designers, automation engineers and the medical team
Essential skills for your mission:
Around 3 years of work experience in software testing in an agile environment
Hands-on experience with mobile UI automation tools like Appium, Cucumber/Gherkin and Serenity BDD
Manual testing experience on mobile applications across devices and operating systems
Great interpersonal, self management and communication skills
Excellent critical thinking and a “big picture” perspective
Ability to be versatile and to quickly familiarize yourself with new technologies
Bonus skills
You have experience with or knowledge of diabetes
You have experience with medical devices or in the healthcare domain
You are familiar with the Screenplay Pattern
You have hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines for running automated tests
You have come across API testing tools
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
In Austria, we have a legal obligation to disclose the minimum salary according to our collective agreement, which is gross EUR 3.843 - per month for this position. But! Rest assured, we offer amazing competitive compensation packages which take into consideration current market trends, therefore you can expect a higher offer that reflects your experience level.
