Job Summary
The Quality Assurance (QA) Lead plays a critical role within Custom Development Project Teams, ensuring that software developed by Teleios Software Engineers meets client requirements and adheres to high standards of quality. This includes ensuring scalability, usability, performance, and maintainability.
The QA Lead collaborates closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, Project Managers, and the Operations Team. The primary responsibility of the role is to establish and enforce robust testing practices that drive the quality of Teleios’ software deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement a robust QA strategy, encompassing both manual and automated testing.
- Interpret client requirements and translate them into comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Design, develop, and execute effective test strategies, plans, and cases tailored to specific projects.
- Conduct various types of testing, including functional, performance, load, security, usability, and automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure shared understanding of software requirements and quality goals.
- Analyse and report on quality metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Identify, document, and help prioritise bugs and issues discovered during testing.
- Review and refine QA processes in coordination with Engineering Management and other team leads.
- Provide clear and timely feedback on test results, system quality, and defect status to relevant teams.
- Research, evaluate, and introduce new testing tools and technologies,
where beneficial. - Collaborate with the Operations Team to manage and approve production-ready software builds.
Education and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Software Development, including at least 2 years in a QA leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven experience designing and executing both manual and automated test strategies.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles, testing methodologies, and QA best practices.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JMeter, Playwright, etc.).
- Strong technical writing skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with precision and accuracy.
Preferred:
- Experience in Agile or DevOps environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- ISTQB Certification or other relevant QA certifications.
- Experience testing enterprise or mission-critical applications, especially in a SaaS or CPaaS context.
