Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Lead provides technical quality oversight for ensuring compliance across the Nutrition warehouse network and blending facility. The QA Lead supports the Food Safety Program of the Nutrition site network and ensures consistent application of BRC, SQF, HACCP, and corporate quality standards across all assigned locations.
The role leads investigations, supports certification maintenance, supports harmonisation initiatives, and strengthens operational quality controls.
By working closely with warehouse teams, the blending site, and QA leadership, the QA Lead safeguards product integrity, ensures audit readiness, and contributes to continuous improvement across the Nutrition network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain site-level QMS documentation (SOPs, work instructions, forms, HACCP plans) ensuring alignment with BRC, SQF, and corporate standards.
- Verify execution of operational quality controls including cleaning, traceability, allergen/segregation controls, and changeover protocols.
- Lead internal audits, document findings and verify CAPA closure.
- Prepare sites for external audits (BRC, SQF, customer, regulatory) and support on-site audit execution.
- Maintain technical and regulatory documentation for all assigned sites, ensuring audit readiness.
- Monitor certification status and ensure timely completion of required verifications, validations, and program reviews.
- Lead investigations for quality-related non-conformances and customer complaints.
- Ensure timely CAPA implementation and verify effectiveness through follow-up checks.
- Escalate systemic risks to QA Management.
- Support recall and mock recall activities by coordinating site-level actions and gathering required documentation.
- Verify traceability performance and ensure sites meet regulatory and certification expectations.
- Deliver quality and food safety training to site personnel on procedures, HACCP and SQF/BRC requirements.

Qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
- 3–5 years of QA experience in food or feed industries.
- Certified SQF Practitioner (required).
- Strong working knowledge of BRC, SQF, HACCP, and regulatory expectations (FDA, FSMA).
- Demonstrated experience with CAPA, complaints, change control, traceability, and audit preparation.
- Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and escalate risks.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence warehouse and operations teams.
- Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Willingness to travel 15–20% to assigned sites.
