Who we are looking for
We are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Lead in State Street’s Global Technology Services (GTS) team working exclusively on proprietary Accounting applications and workflows. Person in this position will collaborate with peers on cross functional teams (primarily agile) to deliver high-quality software solutions.
What you will be responsible for
As Quality Assurance Lead - Assistant Vice President you will be responsible for
Understanding business requirements and definine test strategies/test plans for software applications. Interacting with peers in the organization to proactively determine and resolve upstream and downstream impacts. Executing test cases via automated tools; developing specific tests for each application encompassed in the full system and the related integration along with user acceptance level test (both manual and automated tests as warranted). Participating in the metrics gathering process to propose and implement ongoing improvements. Ensuring proper procedures and controls are in place throughout the software testing process.
In this role you are expected to perform project tasks independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate with team members and members of the Global Technology Services team. You will be part of Quality Assurance Team within GTS’s Accounting and Valuation Domain, and will be based in Boston/Quincy, Massachusetts.

- Experience with Capital Markets or Fund Accounting business and/or testing.
- Strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and quickly adapt to changing environment/requirements.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as with a team
- Provide testing leadership by identifying opportunities for improvement in the Scrum team’s QA methodology, innovate by researching and recommending new approaches to automation of testing, including use of Artificial Intelligence.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work within a global team and communicate with individuals based in different locations.
- Ability to foster and maintain strong relationships with all partners in the SDLC such as business and development
Core/Must have skills
Bachelor Degree is required, Masters is a plus.
6+ years experience with software quality assurance in financial services or financial technology
Oracle ,DB2, proven knowledge of Querying tools
Understanding of software development life cycle, quality assurance standards, and testing methodologies
Hands on Experience with Python and automation testing tools.
Good to have skills
IBM Datastudio
AI tools usage, knowledgeable on TOSCA
Exposure to Sprint and Test tracking tools – JIRA, RTC and ALM

Salary Range:
$80,000 - $132,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the location above, the applicable range could differ.
