Summary of Position:

This position is responsible for managing customer quality, laboratory testing & measurement, and quality system processes to ensure product reliability and compliance. This position works closely with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to maintain production stability, implement corrective actions plans, and sustain high-quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage responses to customer quality issues, complaints, and inquiries
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans (including 8D reports)
  • Support PPAP / PSW submissions for new or modified products
  • Collaborate with customer liaison teams to address on-site quality concerns
  • Lead and manage responses to customer quality issues, complaints, and inquiries.
  • Plan and execute product performance and durability tests (general scope, subject to future expansion)
  • Understand the customer requirements for testing and ability to interpret and report results
  • Manage calibration and preventive maintenance of measurement and testing equipment
  • Perform Gage R&R studies; analyze results and prepare reports
  • Conduct regular Process Tester/Tool Validation to ensure reliability of production inspection systems
  • Analyze test data and translate results into actionable quality improvements
  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949
  • Conduct internal process audits and manage nonconformance actions
  • Monitor and report supplier quality performance (KPI)
  • Develop and standardize quality documentation and procedures

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, materials engineering, chemical engineer, or similar.

 

Position Requirements and Qualifications

  • 1-3 years’ experience Quality Engineering in automotive manufacturing environment
  • Experience at an Automotive OEM and/or Tier 1 automotive supplier is preferred 

Technical/ Computer Skills

  • Able to read spectrophotometer (color measurement systems) results
  • Knowledgeable Core Tools: such as Flow Chart, PFMEA, Control Plan
  • Experienced in problem solving methodology
  • Knowledge of engineering change management
  • Knowledge of measurement methods and drawing strong knowledge based on GD&T
  • Must be proficient with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Experience with SAP is preferred

Skills Required
