Your Team's Impact
This role is at LiquidityBook, a company recently acquired by FactSet. LiquidityBook is a SaaS trading technology which offers OMS, EMS, and PMS solutions for buy and sell side clients. This means, LiquidityBook writes software that traders log into every day to trade stocks and view the impact of their trades. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to help build upon the burgeoning QA team at LiquidityBook. This candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues, implement testing strategies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes. It is a highly technical role and most days will require direct contributions to the automation code base. This role will report directly to the head of Quality Assurance.
What You'll Do
- Create manual test plans and test cases for our different product offerings
- Execute these tests at different stages of the release cycle
- Help build and maintain an automation test suite written in Java with TestNG framework
- Expand QA environments which encompass all of our trading capabilities
- Detail new bugs and features for development
- Test high-risk tickets from dev in a controlled staging environment
What We're Looking For
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or finance-related field
- 0-3 years of experience in QA/Dev or as a technical resource
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A strong technological background
- An intermediate understanding of at least one coding language
- Ability to quickly learn and grasp new concepts
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Desired Skills
- Engineering work for a finance company
- A thorough understanding of capital markets and trade lifecycles
- Bug tracking (preferably Jira)
- Experience with test automation
- Proficiency in testing methodologies
- Experience with coding languages/frameworks such as Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL, TestNG, Selenium

The budgeted salary range for this position in the state of New York is $60,000 - $75,000.
