Your Opportunity:
This position is a full-time, in-person position reporting to the Chief Marking and Operations Officer. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you be responsible you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our digital app solutions. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to test and improve our applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of functionality, security, and user experience.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning and Execution:
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for mobile and web-based applications.
    • Execute manual and automated tests to identify and report defects.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to understand requirements and user stories.
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Automation:
    • Build and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, or equivalent.
    • Implement automated regression, functional, and performance testing.
  • Defect Management:
    • Log, track, and manage bugs using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
    • Collaborate with developers to verify fixes and re-test resolved issues.
  • Quality Assurance Strategy:
    • Contribute to the QA strategy by suggesting tools, methodologies, and processes to improve efficiency.
    • Stay updated with the latest trends in QA practices and fintech regulations.
  • Compliance Testing:
    • Ensure all products meet compliance standards and security best practices relevant to the financial industry.


Skill and Abilities:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in software testing tools and frameworks for mobile and web apps.
    • Strong programming and scripting knowledge for automation (e.g., Python, Java).
    • Experience in database testing and API testing.
  • Analytical Abilities:
    • Ability to identify, analyze, and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
    • Excellent attention to detail for thorough testing and debugging.

    • Clear and effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to document test cases, defects, and results concisely.

Job Requirements:

  • Required language English, bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, preferred.
  • Three (3) years of experience as a QA Engineer, preferably in fintech or app development.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript for test automation.
  • Familiarity with APIs and experience using tools like Postman for API testing.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
