OverviewJoby Aviation is seeking a highly organized, passionate individual to join our quality team as a Quality Assurance Engineer. The position will focus on continued development of the Quality Management System, Quality Assurance requirements, compliance/regulatory auditing, data analytics/KPIs, and/or management of the Joby problem-solving process across all sites and all levels of the organization. The role will support the facilitation of manufacturing, quality, and FAA activities in the development and ongoing approval of Joby’s Production Certificate.
Responsibilities- Internal audit development and auditing, including corrective action.
- Quality system implementation and continuous improvement.
- Assist with company quality performance and continuous improvement.
- Creating and evaluating quality key performance indicators.
- Continuous Improvement communication with internal and external customers.
- Communication with regulatory bodies (FAA, MIDO, and/or NTSB).
- Quality Management System management.
- Collaborates with the Head of Quality and the quality management team to ensure alignment of immediate and long-term strategic Company goals.
- Alerts the organization to issues in time to resolve potential adverse effects on the customer, company image, or reputation of the business.
- Participates in internal and regulatory audits to ensure processes are compliant and efficient.
- Supports the Implementation of world-class quality systems to support the entire product life cycle with a focus on business results, including the prevention and detection of defects at the earliest phase.
- Provides support on activities, documents, and records requiring Quality Assurance review and/or approval.
- Support a collaborative culture of quality throughout the business by effectively communicating.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or a minimum 2+ years of experience in a quality role.
- Previous experience with Quality management systems development, Quality program management, or similar.
Desired
- Previous people management experience.
- Understanding of FAA Regulations, AS9100, AS9110, AS9145, and ISO9001.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (Black Belt preferred).
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $70,304 - $113,800 per year. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
