Drive final-stage product reliability and operational excellence by overseeing the quality of Integrated Circuit (IC) testing processes. In this role, you will govern final test operations, including Automated Test Equipment (ATE) setups. You will use statistical methods to prevent escape defects, minimize test-induced damage, and ensure every shipped chip meets zero-defect standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain product and process quality to ensure compliance with customer requirements and company standards.
- Lead 8D structured problem-solving teams to investigate final test yield drops, high retest rates, and customer quality returns (RMA).
- Implement strict controls to prevent mechanical damage (e.g., bent leads, cracked packages, electrostatic discharge damage) during automated handling.
- Preside over the Material Review Board (MRB) to isolate, evaluate, and dispose of non-conforming lots or chips flagged with unusual binning patterns.
- Continually review and update Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) documents based on real-time line failure data.
- Conduct routine process and workstation audits to maintain absolute alignment with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 automotive quality standards.
- Possess at least Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related discipline.
- Deep practical understanding of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and 8D methodologies.
- 3+ years of experience in semiconductor backend quality engineering, specifically within IC final testing, or product engineering environments.
- Self-motivated and self-discipline.
- Proficiency communication skills and able to work independently and as a team player as well as interact with people at all levels.
