As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a key role in improving Electrolux’s efficiency, leveraging cutting edge modern technologies and solutions.

You will work closely with high qualified technical Teams not only to deliver high-quality solutions, but also to secure that these solutions will generate real Business value. This makes the role ideal for someone who combines strong technical expertise with a passion for making the World a better place.

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure the quality of code developed

  • Approve pull requests on the source code version control system

  • Define and perform unit and functional tests on the compiled application

  • Monitor and report about the speed and quality of the code developed

  • Ensure the fulfilment of the business requirements

  • Provide suggestions on how to improve the SDLC processes implemented

Who are you

  • Kind and respectful.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.

  • Proven seniority (5+ years) in coding (reference languages: JAVA, C#, ReactJS). This includes being part (as coder or code reviewer) of at least two projects for a solution with at least one critical point (e.g. more than 500 concurrent users, no unplanned downtime allowed, specified time constraints to be correct, …).

  • Basic knowledge of SDLC processes. This includes knowledge of the different stages (and related implementation in JIRA) and at list two models.

  • Basic knowledge of ITIL processes (“value” concept and terminology – issue, problem, incident, …).

  • Basic knowledge of containerization, principles and tools. This includes having, at least once, created a container and having it running on prem or on Cloud.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud platform, architecture and modules. This includes the topics covered by the AZ900 certification (even if the certification is not required for this position).

  • (nice to have) Practical knowledge of IBM Red Hat OpenShift, overview and components. This includes having, at least once, created two containers and having them running and communicating.

  • (nice to have) Practical knowledge of Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect. This includes having created at least one “real world” diagram using the application.

  • (nice to have) Ability to read and write/draw using ArchiMate modelling language and BPMN. This includes having created at least one “real world” diagram for both types.

  • (nice to have) Practical experience in using any test automation tool.

  • Problem-solving attitude.

  • Willingness to learn by doing.

  • Innovative and with a genuine interest in technology and a pragmatic approach to delivery.

  • Strong collaboration skills, including experience with, and ability to lead external developers teams, providing guidance on how to improve coding style and delivery speed.

  • Self-driven, proactive, and passionate about continuous improvement.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Able and willing to travel as required (less than 10% of the time).

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years coding experience with Java, C#, ReactJS and participation in at least two high-criticality projects
  • Basic knowledge of SDLC processes, experience using JIRA and familiarity with at least two SDLC models
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL processes and related terminology (issue, problem, incident, value concept)
  • Basic knowledge of containerization principles and experience creating/running a container (on-prem or cloud)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure platform and AZ-900 level topics
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience leading external development teams
  • Fluent in English
  • Able and willing to travel as required (less than 10% of the time)
  • Practical knowledge of IBM Red Hat OpenShift (creating containers and inter-container communication)
  • Practical knowledge of Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect and creation of real-world diagrams
  • Ability to read/write ArchiMate and BPMN and create real-world diagrams
  • Practical experience using test automation tools
