- QA specialist will perform a variety of quality assurance tasks for an enterprise software application,
- Employees at this level are helping to deliver quality software to the customer on both cloud and on Premise versions.
- A well-rounded technical/functional skill set, and deep domain knowledge of physical product design & development are ideal for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Develop test cases and test plans and execute tests
- Install and configure software products on various platforms
- Take ownership for performing software testing of a given functional area
- Develop and maintain test automation
- Report software defects and track quality assurance metrics such as defect counts, test coverage
- Communicate status effectively to management
Requirements:
- Strong work experience in CAD applications like Creo (previously Pro-Engineer), optionally CATIA, NX, Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks etc.
- Working knowledge of CAD data models such as solid and surface modelling. Understanding of geometry
- Experience in Mechanical Design and development of physical products.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Skilled in communicating with a globally distributed team compromising cross functional teams
- Flexible, adaptable, and willing to learn new technologies
- Exposure to Software Testing and automated testing would be an advantage.
- Exposure to Scripting like in Python or Perl would be an advantage
- Work experience in PDM/PLM system would be an advantage
- Exposure in web-based applications would be an advantage
- Exposure to software development or automated testing would be an advantage
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or related field
- 1-3 years of physical product design & development
- Experience in software quality assurance, software development, software technical support, or related field would be an advantage
