As a quality assurance engineer, you will lead tests for multiple AI software products. Our platform is mission-critical and requires an understanding of functional and non-functional requirements for manufacturing AI software. You must handle ambiguous challenges in our fast-moving startup environment.

We seek a high-energy, talented quality assurance engineer to work with multiple development teams and stakeholders globally to drive test strategy and implementation. A successful candidate will have strong technical abilities, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, and motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead the release of large-scale software products with AI technologies for the manufacturing industry, influencing our strategy by spearheading best practices for quality products. You will work with passionate and talented software and AI engineers. You will adopt and maintain the automated test infrastructure for manufacturing AI applications. You will evaluate current test plans, identify coverage gaps, and create test strategies and cases to improve product quality. Additionally, you will establish a reliable continuous build and test cycle with meaningful reporting.

Engaging with a cross-disciplinary staff, you will help conceive, design, and develop innovative manufacturing AI products. You must be responsive, flexible, and collaborative. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies and test plans.
  • Define key metrics for measuring and reporting on the quality of software products and test effectiveness.
  • Create, maintain, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios for various software components, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
  • Own the design and implementation of tests that will help in the end-to-end quality of major deliverables, working closely with multiple engineers and teams to execute them.
  • Leverage the existing automation framework to design, create, and maintain an automated regression test suite.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in QA and testing, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve testing processes.
  • Understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests with scripts and/or user-level automated tools.
  • Create and report test execution status summary along with defect information.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process, suggesting and implementing process enhancements.
  • Collaborate and influence cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and project managers, to understand software quality requirements and design effective test strategies.
  • Attend grooming and planning meetings for all teams as part of the development team.
  • Ensure work is consistently high quality and incorporates best practices.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, and related fields.
  • 5+ years of quality assurance engineering experience.
  • Experience in manual and automation testing.
  • Experience with testing web services as well as REST or GraphQL APIs
  • Experience scripting or coding.
  • Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and define quality metrics to measure product quality.
  • Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test datasets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control.
  • Experience working closely with development and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with at least one of the test automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.
  • Experience in building quality tooling and managing infrastructure.
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language, such as Python, Java, C++, etc., including object-oriented design.
  • Experience with Pytest Python testing framework
  • Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a large-scale distributed software system.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
