Job Description
Weatherford is hiring a Quality Assurance Documentation Specialist for our Wallingford facility. The Quality Assurance Documentation Specialist will be working within a supportive, inclusive team in a fast-paced, progressive environment. Assist QA Manager in maintenance of the Quality System, maintenance of employee training files; assist QA Documentation with traceability documentation, and maintenance of approved suppliers. Assembly of traceability documentation packages to customer specifications.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (not listed in any particular order)
- Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
- Maintain training database for employee training. Update as training is performed and removal of personnel from data base as required.
- Maintain the Approved Supplier List
- Maintain QA manuals (QSM, SOP and WI) issued as controlled. This includes issuing new manuals as required, revising as necessary, and reviewing of manuals to ensure the latest releases are in each manual.
- Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
- Typing of procedures, work instructions and other documents relating to Quality.
- Coordinates technology transfers to locations requiring the QSM, SOP, and other Quality System related documents.
- Assists QA Manager in implementing the Quality program for facilities the QA Manager is responsible for.
- Complete Purchase requisitions for Quality Assurance and Quality Control departments.
- Coordinate activities of QA Documentation personnel including assisting in assembly of traceability documentation.
- Control identification stamps for Quality Control and Manufacturing.
- Perform other related functions as necessary that are assigned by the QA Manager.
- Assemble Traceability documentation per customer requirements as designated on the Sales Order and WCS traceability level.
- Type Matrix based on information supplied on Pick List.
- Maintain Work Order and Procurement Material Test Report files. Maintenance of the files including the files stored off site.
- Scan Work Orders, Procured Material Test Reports, Certificates of Compliance, and other associated documentation for traceability.
- Issue Engineering Drawings as requested for Work Orders, and distribute as required.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced computer skills- Knowledgeable and proficient in PC software (MRP / ERP management systems) used to maintain the Quality System.
- Must have experience and/or knowledge of the basic principles of Document Control Processes.
- User knowledge and experience of Microsoft applications (Excel and Word)
- Multi-tasking ability.
- Individual must be able to follow instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and quality skills.
- Should complete product line specific Weatherford training
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and API Q1 requirements.
