Quality Assurance Coordinator - Supported Emp

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

This is an interim position. This position provides overall quality and compliance of Supported Employment services and documentation through completion of audits and inspections related to Department Rehabilitation, Regional Center of Orange County, CARF, and Source America.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs numerous internal quality assurance audits and inspections to ensure that the program is in compliance with Goodwill high standards and regulations/guidelines associated with program funding resources (CARF, RCOC, DOR, Source America).  Maintains important tracking systems to ensure all critical program data is documented and in compliance. Notifies program manager if any documents are required.  Maintains confidentiality of program participant records and personal information.  Maintains and assures the accurate completion of all program participant documentation which is reviewed/submitted by program coordinators.  Participates as needed in any program/funding source audits.  Participates in all appropriate staff meetings and organizes meetings at appropriate levels.  Maintains programs statistics to ensure all program objectives are met to remain in compliance with all standards.  Maintains program participant files and information pertaining to all Supported Employment and Direct Placement services in compliance with CARF/DOR/RCOC standards.  Understands program requirements per CARF, DOR, RCOC, DOL, etc.  Assists program with all major audits such as CARF, DOR, and RCOC.  Understands programs software systems including Microsoft Office.

Provides high quality customer service to all program stakeholders.  Assists in reviewing “Individual Eligibility Evaluation Form” and make recommendations on how to improve the information on the form.  Completes thorough reports on program objectives (i.e. revenue, audits, placements, paperwork, etc.).  Tracks and reviews all program participant payroll time cards ensuring accuracy and reporting discrepancies to be corrected.  Audits all programs GHS files for accuracy.  Assist with additional functions of the program such as job coaching and support SE Billing Specialist with monthly billing duties.  Notifies program manager immediately if any problems, concerns, or challenges occur with program participants, staff, care providers, families, funding sources, and/or employers; develops a plan of action to resolve the issue, concern, or challenge.  Acts as a program safety ambassador and performs duties outlined by Goodwill Asset Protection department.  Understands program participant/staff job functions in order to be able to provide appropriate support/guidance to all staff and program participants.  Coordinates and implements appropriate program participant crisis intervention.  Performs other job duties as required.  Drives on company business as required.  Follows all company policies and procedures.  Acts safely at all times, following all safety rules and regulations.  Safeguards company property, including donated goods. Reports incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of company property.  Uses good interpersonal skills such as courtesy, sensitivity, politeness, and thoughtfulness.  Promotes and demonstrates cooperation and team work.  Works with, trains, and/or acts as a good example for program participants/staff.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must be at least twenty one years of age due to driving requirement of the position.  High School Diploma or GED required.  Two years’ experience working with a variety of people with many different types of barriers/disabilities preferred.  Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.  Ability to write accurate, concise, grammatically correct letters, memos, proposals, reports, etc.  Possess analytical skills, including deductive reasoning.  Must be able to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.  Ability to train staff and conduct presentations.  Excellent interpersonal communication skills in order to interact with all levels of management, employees, and program participants.  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.  Ability to be flexible and adaptable in handling interruptions and variations.  Have own reliable vehicle, valid California driver’s license, liability insurance, and a DMV record acceptable to Goodwill’s insurance company.  Ability to travel on company business.
