JOB DESCRIPTION:

Quality Assurance Coordinator

The QA Coordinator is responsible for general supervision of the manufacturing inspection and test functions at every stage of the manufacturing process.  They may supervise inspection and test activities of operators.  The perform function failure testing as well as physical defects testing.

This position works out of our Casa Grande, Arizona location in the Abbott Nutrition division. What You’ll Work On

  • Responsible for maintaining and improving guidance documents and (Work Orders, Forms, Procedures, etc.) and supporting the overall Quality Systems Department.

    Assures that all documentation is in compliance with standards established by Abbott and other regulatory agencies before it is released for review and final approvals.  

  • Incumbent must possess the abilities to work with an experienced Sr Project Leader, Quality Engineer, or Manager in identifying quality issues and approaches to their resolution.

  • This position requires moderate Supervision. 

  • This position addresses documentation concerns with Plant management.

    Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system and providing support to Quality and Compliance Management to ensure Plant regulatory compliance.

  • Participates in and supports successful completion of regulatory Audits and assessments.
  • Provide backup assistance in development and execution of New Product Introduction (NPI) activities including tracking and trending and communication of NPI needs and/or trends to the leadership and support staff as appropriate.  He/she will assist with or develop master work orders, plant procedures, and Deviations as necessary in support of plant projects, new processes, and new packages.

You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates Degree (± 13 years)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in regulated, manufacturing environment

The base pay for this position is

$60,000.00 – $120,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
