Who will you be working with?

You will collaborate closely with the Tech Lead, Software Developers, DBAs, QA Analysts, DevOps/Release Engineers, and the Product Owner. You will be part of a cross‑functional team focused on delivering high‑quality desktop applications, ensuring that automated test coverage, reliability, and engineering best practices support the overall product life cycle.

How will you make a difference?

You will design, build, and maintain automated test suites for a Windows Forms application developed in VB.NET and supported by SQL Server. You will enable continuous quality through automation, integrate automated checks into CI/CD pipelines, drive testability improvements with developers, and establish data-driven quality insights. Your role will elevate engineering maturity by advancing automation frameworks, improving reliability, and reducing defect leakage into later stages of the development cycle.

What do we want to know about you?

Required

• Experience with desktop UI automation using tools such as WinAppDriver, TestStack.White, or FlaUI. Experience with Robot is desirable.

• Proficiency with .NET test frameworks such as MSTest, xUnit, or NUnit.

• Ability to read and understand VB.NET and .NET code to identify testability gaps and opportunities.

• Strong SQL Server knowledge for validating queries, stored procedures, transactions, and data integrity.

• Hands-on experience with Git, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipeline integration.

• Solid quality engineering mindset, including risk-based testing, reliability strategies, and test data management.

• Clear communication skills for reporting test results, documenting defects, and aligning on acceptance criteria.

• Analytical thinking and attention to detail when troubleshooting UI, service, and database defects.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

• Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.

• Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

• Established project management skills.
• Intermediate English is desirable, including participation in technical discussions, reading, and writing documentation.

What will your typical day look like?

• Design and evolve automated test suites for Windows Forms UI, APIs/Services, and database validation.

• Implement automated smoke, regression, and integration tests using .NET test frameworks.

• Validate stored procedures, queries, triggers, and transactional workflows in SQL Server.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, enabling structured reporting, logs, and captured artifacts.

• Collaborate with developers in grooming and design review sessions to promote testability and Shift‑Left practices.

• Build and maintain data strategies including synthetic datasets, anonymized samples, and environment setup scripts.

• Triages defects, reproduce issues with detailed logs and screenshots, and validate fixes.

• Execute non-functional testing such as performance checks, long-run reliability, and baseline validation.

• Maintain documentation including test plans, automation architecture, traceability matrices, and quality dashboards.

• Coach team members on testing techniques, automation best practices, and reliability improvement patterns.
