Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Aqua Finance is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions that ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications and systems. You will partner closely with software engineers, product mangers, and business stakeholders to implement scalable testing strategies that improve software quality, increase testing efficiency, and accelerate delivery timelines.

Essential Functions

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, backend services, and mobile applications.

• Build and enhance scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks.

• Create and maintain test data, stubs, mocks, and supporting automation utilities to ensure reliable and repeatable testing.

• Identify opportunities to automate manual testing processes and improve test coverage and efficiency.

• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery practices.

• Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans that align with business and technical requirements.

• Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing across multiple applications and platforms.

• Validate reported defects, reproduce issues, perform root cause analysis, and verify resolutions.

• Monitor and report quality metrics, testing progress, and defect trends to stakeholders.

• Ensure software solutions meet established quality standards and performance expectations.

• Partner with developers, product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define testing requirements and quality objectives.

• Diagnose test failures, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects efficiently.

• Evaluate testing tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve automation capabilities and overall quality practices.

• Promote quality engineering best practices throughout the organization.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on quality assurance and test automation practices.

• Lead initiatives to improve automation maturity, testing processes, and quality standards.

• Serve as a subject matter expert for quality assurance automation and testing strategies.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related technical field, or commensurate work experience, required

• 5 years or experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or Quality Engineering required

• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, or Cypress.

• Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated testing frameworks.

• Strong programming or scripting skills in Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar languages.

• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies and Agile/Scrum practices.

• Experience testing web applications, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

• Experience with cloud-based applications, DevOps practices, and CI/CD tools.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail, collaboration skills, and commitment to continuous improvement.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, employees are regularly required to sit, stand, walk, communicate, and use hands to operate computer equipment and office tools. Employees may occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.

This is primarily an office-based position requiring extended periods of computer use. Employees can expect to work on a computer approximately 90% of the time.
