POSITION SUMMARY
Performs auditing function for all EAMS processes/procedures throughout the facility.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary
- Assists Manager Quality Assurance with creating internal audit checklists.
- Planning and conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with aviation regulations and customer requirements.
- Coordinates with all external auditors performing quality audits of EAMS.
- Evaluating operational processes to identify areas of improvement and compliance issues.
- Preparing detailed audit reports and presenting findings to management.
- Monitoring corrective actions and ensuring they are effectively implemented.
- Assisting in the investigation of incidents and accidents to identify root causes and preventive measures
- Maintains list of approved vendors.
Secondary
- Provide guidance and training to staff on quality assurance matters.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in aviation regulations and industry standards.
- Participate in safety and quality meetings and workshops.
- Recommend company policies and procedures to reflect current best practices and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education:
- A&P Certificate - Preferred
- High School Diploma required, A.S. / B.S. Degree in Aviation preferred
Experience:
- Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 / C.A.S.E.-1A preferred
- Prefer three years’ experience as an aircraft inspector or auditor
- Practical experience with quality audit procedures (may be met by formal auditor training, prior experience as an auditor, or a minimum of 40 hours auditor experience with documented On-the-Job Training (OJT) by a qualified auditor).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Knowledge of safety and operating procedures while working around aircraft and while working around component maintenance shops.
- Knowledgeable of the following applicable regulations: FAA; NFPA; OSHA.
- Ability to understand company SOP’s and customer GMM’s.
