Verify that all necessary tools and equipment required by production are present, available, and within easy reach.
Review the daily production schedule and ensure that the correct production manual is available in the production area.
Ensure all production personnel are wearing complete PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), with approved exemptions if applicable.
Confirm that no jewelry or unauthorized accessories are worn by production staff as per hygiene protocols
Review the latest delivery schedule to identify if a Certificate of Analysis (COA) is required by any client and coordinate its preparation.
Check if the schedule includes any pullouts of sliced Finished Goods (FG), and validate if the requesting party has submitted a quality report
Review and investigate any quality deviations from the previous day's deliveries—particularly those involving sliced products.
Issue raw material samples as required by wholesale client’s specs with Raw Materials Sample Specification sheet.
Set product labeling information as per the client’s requirement
Run trials of new products – alongside third-party producers.
Evaluation of raw materials for new product development or as possible alternatives to existing raw materials
Issue CPAR (Corrective and Preventive Action Reports) or SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Requests) for any quality deviations involving RGFT suppliers.
Validate and follow up on supplier responses to ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Review and monitor purchase request statuses, and validate the availability of materials required to meet production quality standards.
Maintain a regular presence on the production floor, conducting random inspections for compliance with GMP, SOP, and Food Safety procedures.
Check and validate back loads of online items, especially frozen and sliced products, to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
Conduct an annual review and update of all Food Safety documents, including government licenses, operation manuals, permits, and certifications as required by RGFT and regulatory agencies.
Assist with documentation and compliance concerns, coordinating with NMIS inspectors and other relevant authorities to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Assist and/ or head audit with wholesale clients and government food entities as per required of each company’s standard.
Conduct pest control treatment every twice a month with the third party
Prepare and maintain a hard copy shift report documenting any quality deviations, including checks on stickers, product specifications, temperature logs, production/expiry dates, brand, and product type.
Collate, review, and finalize production manuals and product specifications for accuracy and completeness.
Crafting initial documents needed during an audit for all wholesale clients
Issue documents as needed by Sales and clients eg. Raw Material Specification Sheets, Certificates, Letters, etc.
Serve as reliever for the Production Supervisor during their absence, ensuring continuous leadership on the production floor and consistent application of safety and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Biology, Chemistry or any related field
- At least 1-2 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the food industry.
- Knowledge of NMIS, BFAR and food regulatory standards and documentation is an advantage.
- Strong organizational & documentation skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple compliance requirements.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with clients and government agencies.
