Job Description:

Huntsman Cooperation is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Quality Assurance and Quality Control Team Lead.

The ideal candidate will be located in Pune, India.

As a Quality Assurance and Quality Control Team Lead you will:

Ensure that manufactured Products are meeting business needs, quality standards and customer expectations.

Responsible for developing quality processes, standard and systems.

Lead customer audits as per IATF and VDA6.3 standard.

Support in new supplier qualification process.

Lead the team to achieve quality management system targets for Customer and business goals.

Establish and Implement inspection and test plan for in process and incoming inspection.

Support in new Raw material development, quality confirmation and testing of RM on regular basis.

Knowledge to handle instruments like GC & GPC (Chromatography), NMR (Spectroscopy), Karl Fischer titration (Wet Chemistry), Brookfield viscometer etc. and test methods as per ASTM standard.

Strong Analytical background and conduct detailed chemical analysis and data interpretation.

To maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment according to QA specifications and coordinate with third party labs for testing.

Ensure adherence to quality standard, implement the quality control system, and reduce rejection level and rework.

Manage all external registration requirements to ensure they are met.

Knowledge of QMS standard like ISO 9001:2015 & IATF 16949 and undertake regular internal and process audits of the QMS.

Experience to interact with government bodies / external accredited laboratories.

Knowledge of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Six Sigma, Poka Yoke (Error Proofing), Kaizen & 5’S’.

Handing customer complaint by using problem solving techniques / statistical tools such as Why Why Analysis (8D Report)

Contribute to continuous improvement activities.

Ready to work in shifts. 

Knowledge of SAP system.

Ready to travel at customer sites for customer complaints.

Participate in EHS activities as set forth by the company.

Perform any special task as may be assigned by line manager.

Participate in and completes company required training programs.

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

Bachelor of Chemical Engineering or Bachelor of Technology (Polymer) with minimum 10 years of work experience with relevant PU experience.

Experience in relevant fields such as Chemical Industry, pharmaceutical, Oil.

Strong organizational skills and experience.

PU Chemistry knowledge. Expertise in both quality process and product chemistry.

Must have a level of proficiency with MS programs.

SAP QM Module.

Strong knowledge of chemical analysis methods.

Knowledge of methodology and statistical techniques.

ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949 and other QMS tools.

Strong in communication both verbally and in writing.

Flexibility and adoptability to new challenges

Ability to develop strong working relationship with cross functional team.

Problem solving and decision-making ability.

Strong analytical thinking and application
