Position Summary: Tidal Basin seeks a competent QA/QC Specialist to join the team supporting the client. The position will assist in one or more programs that provide temporary housing and temporary or permanent repairs to damaged homes in recovery in one or more programs. This position represents an exceptional opportunity to join an expert team to facilitate change and help make a lasting difference.    
The objective of the Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) Specialist is to provide QA/QC services to an assigned caseload of applicants seeking sheltering or repairs to their homes. The QA/QC Specialist will review applications against the standards set forth by the Program. As a part of this review, the QA/QC Specialist will be responsible for verifying documentation in support of applicant eligibility.
The QA/QC Specialist will assess both the information provided by the applicant and the process followed by the case manager for accuracy and compliance. The QA/QC Specialist will be responsible for identifying deficiencies in the application and working with the case management team to resolve the deficiencies. 

Additionally, the QA/QC Specialist is responsible for ensuring any services provided to the applicant have been documented in program tracking systems.  This is a production-based program, so clearing assigned caseloads through queues is an essential job function and success in the position will be evaluated accordingly.  
 

Duties/Responsibilities:
Working effectively as part of a team to provide expert quality assurance and quality control services for sheltering and repair programs.  Specific duties may include:
  • Review applications for quality set by the Program guidance.
  • Review and evaluate applicant intake forms, case manager recommendations for award, final agreements for execution, and income verification for consistency and accuracy.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for case managers.
  • Assess income limits and proof of income for applicant files.
  • Verify the accuracy of supporting documentation in applicant files.
  • Collect, compile, report and maintain necessary data in program tracking systems for statistics and reporting.
  • Verify applicant provided documentation with third party resources as determined by the Program.
  • Support case managers to prepare client files for closeout once benefits have been provided.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Previous QA/QC experience on a federally funded program a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Required Education and Experience:
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in social services or other relevant field; OR,
  • At least 2+ years of relevant experience in quality control, case management, application processing, grant-funded government programs, or other relevant field
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Experience in case management portals a plus

Job Location: May require travel
Pay Range: $38 to $44/hour
