  • Identify, document, and track defects using issue-tracking tools like JIRA
  • Work closely with developers, DevOps, and product managers
  • Help to ensure compliance with CJIS security policies and other public safety industry standards

Skills and knowledge:

  • Experience as a Software QA Engineer/Analyst, with several years of expertise in leading quality assurance efforts and ensuring software reliability
  • Proficient in designing, developing, and executing manual test cases for software.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and multitasking abilities, the ability to handle multiple testing efforts simultaneously, and the agility to quickly adapt to changing requirements while ensuring thorough and accurate testing of mission-critical software in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to balance manual and automated testing, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and responding to deadlines without compromising quality
  • Proven experience in testing iOS and Android applications, with a focus on ensuring functionality, performance, and user experience across both platforms
  • Proficiency using JIRA for issue tracking
  • Familiarity designing and executing load, stress, and scalability tests for backend services using JMeter or other similar software
  • Proficiency in C++ application testing, including understanding memory management, multithreading, and networking concepts
  • Proficiency creating and testing with Virtual Machines
  • Proficiency installing Windows and Windows applications
  • Proficiency installing, configuring and using Microsoft SQL Server
  • Knowledge of programming languages for automation: Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#
  • Knowledge of mobile app distribution and testing using TestFlight for iOS applications
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Proficiency in analyzing debug and log files to identify, troubleshoot, and isolate defects effectively.

Additional qualifications and skills, preferred:

  • Background in public safety, emergency response, or law enforcement software
  • Familiarity with CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) compliance standards and security requirements
  • Familiarity with JUnit tests for unit and integration testing, particularly for Java-based components.
  • Automation Testing Engineer Certificate (ATC)

What We Do

For over 25 years, Harris Healthcare has been rising to the challenge of bringing together the most innovative and sustainable solutions for today’s ever-changing healthcare environment, in order to improve patient care and safety. Each one of our solutions brings organizational efficiencies on its own. Powerful synergies are achieved when multiple solutions are implemented together. The Harris Healthcare portfolio includes the following solutions: ♦ HARRIS Flex - an enterprise-level EHR solution that improves patient safety and clinical workflows. It includes a full complement of applications integrated in one single database, provides solid clinical decision support to your clinicians and helps standardize care while enforcing protocols and best practices at any Healthcare Organization. HARRIS Flex conveys the digital solution’s flexibility and strength. Healthcare organizations are continuously faced with new challenges and situations and require flexible EHR’s that can be rapidly adapted to their evolving clinical practice. Contrary to other EHR solutions which are inflexible and where customizations require costly support from the vendor, HARRIS Flex gives you the freedom to "flex" your EHR as you need it entirely on your own. The enhanced HARRIS Flex solution comes with new functionality including: ♦Flex Telehealth which enables virtual visits directly from within the EHR/EPR, and ♦Flex Clinical Insight which facilitates extraction and analysis of your EHR/EPR data to improve your processes and outcomes. ♦ SynergyCheck – a proactive interface monitoring solution watching over Clinical, Financial and other interfaces 24/7 to ensure data is flowing between systems
