Quality Assurance Analyst

Job Description

SmartRent is looking for a QA Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will use your analytical skills to provide test planning and manual test execution for new web and mobile product features prior to going to market. You will work with other QA Analysts, Product, and Engineering team members on a regular basis to understand feature requirements, manually test, and report bugs/findings to be resolved.  You’ll be exposed to the majority of our innovative and industry-leading products and have many opportunities to learn more.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements/story cards to gather test scenarios and plan for testing.
• Participate in estimating test effort and timelines.
• Participate in all aspects of manual, functional testing.
• Collaborate with other QA team members and developers to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Create test case documentation for new features.
• Execute system, integration, regression, and release testing for all assigned products and features.
• Document and track bugs using Jira.
• Analyze and reproduce problems reported by customers.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or similar technical role.
• Ability to work cross functionally with Product and Engineering teams.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to shift priorities as needed.
• Has a passion for quality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of SDLC and QA processes.
• 1+ year experience in an Agile environment.
• Experience with both web and mobile testing.
• Experience with Jira.
• Experience with Zephyr.
• API testing is a plus.

NOTE: Preference will be given for applicants residing in the Orlando, FL metro area and/or applicants residing in Eastern US time zone.
