Job Summary: The Quality Assurance Analyst assists with software testing activities to ensure applications function as intended and meet business requirements. This position executes test cases, documents results, identifies defects, and supports quality assurance initiatives across application enhancements, upgrades, and new system implementations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with software testing activities to ensure applications function as intended and meet business requirements.
- Execute assigned test cases and document testing results accurately and consistently.
- Identify and report software defects and assist in validating issue resolution.
- Work with team members to understand application functionality, testing procedures, and quality standards.
- Maintain test documentation, testing records, and related project materials.
- Participate in software testing efforts for application enhancements, upgrades, and new implementations.
- Assist in developing test cases and preparing test data under the guidance of senior team members.
- Learn and apply departmental quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices.
- Contribute to team objectives and gain experience through active participation in quality assurance activities.
Qualifications
- Education
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, technical support, business systems, or related fields.
- Internship, academic project, or equivalent technology experience is a plus.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic understanding of software applications and business processes.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability to follow documented procedures and complete assigned tasks with accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
