The Quality Assurance Analyst I is responsible for continuously improving the quality of the company’s product line by preventing, quickly detecting, and validating product and process defects, to deliver market and customer driven business results. You will evaluate the test results, prepare change requests and generate measures to assess the product quality. In this role you will work with an integrated team of developers, product managers, product owners, and system analysts for test planning, test automation and execution, and product validation.

Role qualifications: 

  • BS or BA or work experience or 2 plus years work experience in business/systems testing 

  • Health care industry preferred 

  • Must have a solid understanding of general testing techniques such as functional, integration performance and regression testing 

  • Knowledge of manual/automated Testing methodology and its applied uses in regression, cross browser and functional testing. 

  • Available for testing during releases occasionally on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings. 

  • Understand appropriate use of common test automation frameworks including capture/replay, data-driven, keyword-driven and behavior-driven. 

  • Working knowledge of agile work planning tool (JIRA or similar). 

  • Experience with SQL. 

  • Preferable working experience using Insomnia or Postman. 

  • Preferable working experience using Splunk. 

  • Preferable working experience with Cucumber. 

  • Preferable working experience using source-control change management software (GIT or similar). 

  • Preferable working knowledge of test management software (TestRail or similar). 

  • Preferable working knowledge of Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins or similar). 

  • Knowledge of JSON and X12 formatting is a plus. 

  • Ability to estimate test schedules and assess risk with supervision. 

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Assisting with test plans, writing test scenarios and test cases based on business, user, functional and nonfunctional requirements. 

  • Reviewing requirements and determines gaps or missing elements in system, process and/or functional requirements. 

  • Working with integrated team with Product Owner and Development Engineers to understand product features and technical implementation details. 

  • Evaluating and recommends QA standards and continual improvement activities; Making recommendations for long-term improvements of quality assurance process, workflow and QA department. 

  • Eagerly seeking opportunity to mentor other analysts in testing methodology and the software development life cycle 

  • Executing and monitors testing results and communicates the results. Coordinating with UAT test group(s) to ensure all issues are communicated and resolved. 

  • Validating and documents completion of testing and development processes. Ensuring compliance with testing and development methodology and policies. 

  • Providing production support of software products by investigating and recreating reported defects. 

  • Participates in release implementation. 

  • Collaborating with User Experience and Customer support to incorporate usability and customer feedback into your testing approach
