Our client, Tatua Co-operative Dairy Company, is seeking a Quality Assurance Advisor to join their fast-paced Quality team. Job DescriptionBased in the Waikato, this diverse role is responsible for supporting the ongoing application, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Quality & Food Safety Management Systems (Q&FSMS) across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead investigations into non-conformances (NCs) and verify corrective actions to ensure effective and sustainable solutions
- Support and coach employees in conducting thorough investigations into non-conforming situations
- Assist with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Prerequisite Programmes (PRPs) and Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point (HACCP) studies
- Partner with departmental managers to ensure PRPs and HACCP programmes are effectively applied to consistently manufacture safe and suitable products
- Provide technical guidance and quality systems expertise across all aspects of the Q&FSMS
- Conduct risk assessments relating to quality and food safety systems, including trials, change controls, HACCP reviews, design changes, and returned material assessments
- Undertake internal audits and support verification planning activities as required
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- At least 2 years' quality assurance experience within dairy or food manufacturing
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced competency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
- A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement
