Job Summary & Responsibilities

Job Summary: This position is responsible for product / process quality audits. 

Essential Functions  

  • Must process audits 
  • Must be able to use basic inspection equipment such as calipers, mics, torque wrenches and various gauges and other tools. 
  • Must perform part layout / inspection as directed 
  • Must maintain and follow up red-tag process 
  • Must maintain gauge calibration process 
  • Uses stop the line authority at any sign of safety or quality concerns 
  • Performs daily duties per work instructions / standard work 
  • Completes all daily data collection as established 
  • Act as a backup for QA. Tech. 
  • Must perform daily 5S activities 

Education and Training  

  • High school diploma or GED 

Minimum Qualifications  

  • Must be able to read blueprints 
  • Must have good understanding of inventory control 
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions 
  • Must recognize the importance of working in a safe manner 
  • Ability to understand what constitutes quality products 
  • Possess basic math skills 
  • Average or above average skills in numeric and visual recall 
  • Must be computer literate 
  • Must pass Quality skills and qualifications test 
  • Quality audit experience is preferred. 

Physical Demands  

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds 
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time 
  • Able to work overtime and weekends. 
  • Ability to work in sometimes extreme temperatures
